Glad to read that you are safe. My prayers have been with the entire area, most especially Harrisburg, IL. I heard on the news about an entire town that was completely destroyed yesterday and cannot recall the name at the moment....

Thank you all very much for the well wishes and comments. We made it through the storm. It was raining earlier but now the sun is shining. Lots of damage nearby but not in my neighborhood. Hail and strong winds (lots of down trees) were reported in my area but no tornadoes. The state did not escape so well though. Prayers to all those that did not fair well.

About dixiedaughter

dixiedaughter

Hello, my name is Leslie. I borrowed my handle from my Tennessee Walking horse, Dixie's Daughter. I am a retired respiratory therapist and home care director. My interests include photography, genealogy, historical societies, reenacting (Revolutionary War, WBTS) horse rescue, and paranormal investigating. I am also a big believer in karma and try to live my life accordingly. My husband (AUphoto) and I have two houses, one is a country house on a farm and the other is on the outskirts of Wetumpka on Lake Jordan in Titus, AL (we recently moved from Lake Cameron in Pike Road). I enjoy this site very much and love traveling around the World with you each day to amazing places. I appreciate you looking at my photographs and I appreciate you posting yours. Answer to most common question is I only shoot one lens for everything: Canon 18-200 mm. ©Leslie Kirk, 2017 with Southern Comfort Photography, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED, Titus, Alabama
