The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of northwest Oregon and southwest
Washington... including the following areas... in northwest
Oregon... central Columbia River gorge... Coast Range of
northwest Oregon... greater Portland Metro area... lower
Columbia... north Oregon coast... Upper Hood River Valley and
western Columbia River gorge. In southwest Washington...
central Columbia River gorge... Greater Vancouver area... I-5
corridor in Cowlitz County... South Washington Cascade
foothills... South Washington Cascades... South Washington
coast... western Columbia River gorge and Willapa Hills.

* From Tuesday morning through late Wednesday night

* freezing levels will rise to over 8000 feet Monday night leading
to rapid snow melt. In addition... heavy rain beginning Tuesday
will cause sharp rises on rivers and creeks draining the Coast
Range... South Washington Cascades... and Willapa Hills.

* Rainfall amounts through Thursday...
