The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Sulphur river below Talco.
* From late Wednesday night to Friday evening... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 11:45 am Monday the stage was 8.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Thursday morning and continue
to rise to near 21.5 feet by Thursday early afternoon. The river
will fall below flood stage by early Friday morning.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the White Oak creek near Talco.
* From Thursday morning until further notice... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 11:15 am Monday the stage was 7.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by late Thursday morning and
continue to rise to near 17.5 feet by Friday early afternoon.

Flash Flood Watch
Issued: 5:01 AM CST Feb. 20, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from this evening through
late Wednesday night...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southwest Arkansas, southeast Oklahoma, and
northeast Texas, including the following areas, in southwest
Arkansas, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller,
Nevada, and Sevier. In southeast Oklahoma, McCurtain. In
northeast Texas, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Franklin, Gregg,
Harrison, Marion, Morris, Red River, Rusk, Smith, Titus,
Upshur, and wood.

* From this evening through late Wednesday night

* periods of excessive heavy rainfall associated with a very slow
moving frontal boundary may result in areas of flash flooding as
training of showers and thunderstorms will likely occur over the
watch area. 3-6 inches of rainfall is expected.

* Flash flooding of roads, low lying, and poor drainage areas
will be possible. If you encounter flash flooding while
driving your vehicle, remember to turn around, don't drown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

* event... south winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts nearing 30 mph.

* Timing... mid-morning through early evening.

* Impact... rough chop on area lakes will create hazardous
boating conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be more prone to take on water
and capsizing.
