* at 943 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Life threatening flash flooding is already occurring!

This is a flash flood emergency for the Kansas City
Metro... particularly the downtown Kansas City area! This is a
particularly dangerous situation. Seek higher ground now!

Johnson and Jackson counties...

At 928 PM CDT... emergency management reported heavy rain and
significant flash flooding in the downtown Kansas City area. Up to
three inches of rain has fallen and additional heavy rain is
expected this evening and overnight. Dangerous flash flooding is
occurring.

Kansas City... Overland Park... Olathe... Independence... Lee's Summit...
Shawnee... Blue Springs... Lenexa... Leawood... Raytown... Grandview...

* at 857 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms over western and central Johnson County. This will
cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to
two inches of rain has already fallen and additional heavy rain is
likely this evening.
