Wanda1948: The breeding of new bulbs is done by the blooming tulip heads. The flower is then cut off from the stem, so that into the ground new bulbs can grow. Hmmm, too bad someone doesn't get to make these beheaded tulips into bouquets and take them to hospitals and nursing homes and brighten their days. I love tulips... thanks for sharing your series of pics. I love the Mosaic of hyacinths, wow this would be a peice of work to put together. Take care all!
