view of dawn from our room located in the magnificent 35 story, 1200 room Mohegan Sun Hotel in Uncasville, CT..it's the 1.1 Billion dollar centerpiece of the casino/shopping/restaurant/conference complex..the largest such entertainment complex in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world..its location on the Thames River in the 'quiet corner' of CT is just perfect..the daytime view of the building on a sunny day is really stunning..

Living in the mountains of Western Maine on a 15 acre 'gentleman's farm', in a hand hewn log home, has been a wonderful experience these past 6 1/2 years. The photo ops are virtually unlimited what with the surrounding working farms, dozens of lakes, ponds, and brooks, and thousands of acres of forest. Not to mention our own pond and brooks as well as extensive flower gardens, fruit bushes, vines, and trees. The views of Mt Washington and the Presidentials of NH only add to the drama! Not a bad place to be retired..and I am so glad I can share all of this with the wonderful folks on this great site..it has been a wonderful journey and learning experience thus far..and it's only getting better! |
