WHOA NELLY ALREADY??!!! WOW!!! I was just trying to rearrange the song by Supertramp..'Goodbye Stranger'....subbing,,Goodbye summer,,it's been nice,,now we're blessed with, snow, and ice,,,,etc,etc..you all can fill in the rest,,I had it workin',but then got stuck on a stanze, googled the song for lyrics, and accidentally wiped out this page...oh well..time for supper anyway....I think of you often up there at the top of the world...did'nt think you folks would get snow already, but maybe the coolness will trickle down and make some rain for us here in the Midwest later this week!

It's always awesome to see who gets the FIRST NOW pix from the U.S.!!! GOOD JOB and HAVE A SAFE WINTER!lol!:)

I sure would have to have a lot of oil to warm my igloo - not to mention my lamp.

Thank you all for visiting my bumpy blurry photos! :)

Yes the first snowy roads do catch people unaware, sometimes folks who do know better, sometimes people who are not at all familiar with snowy wet roads. Catches even the best of drivers! (there but by the grace of God go I...)

This isn't unusual for this 'iffy' time of year, and in 24 hours the road was clear and dry again, thought the snow lingers in the woods.

Thank you all for your concern and visits!

That's what happens here in the first snow. It's
like the Summer just burned away the memory cells
that regarded snow driving. Be careful, Katy!
It's not always how well YOU drive, it's how well
THEY drive!

About katy99780
katy99780 I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I really love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
