WOW!! Thanks everybody!! our internet service has been down all day - what a nice way to get 'back to the fun'!! thanks approvers too for all that you do to make this fun!! Your comments are much appreciated!! and, yes, the smoke, albeit nasty, does indeed make for gorgeous evening light - the pinks and blues are almost 'unnatural' they're so intense!

just learned the fires are south of Mc Cloud - seems I-5 was closed for a while yesterday and all the traffic was diverted over our way via HWY 89 and then HWY 299 - not good!!! soooooo many trucks and sooooo many cars from 6 lane divided to 2 windy lanes thru the canyon!!
