Weather Underground Forecast for Tuesday, December 01, 2009.
While no tropical weather development is expected in the Tropical Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea on Tuesday, scattered showers and thunderstorms will persist in the southwestern Caribbean Sea. Low pressure in the region will continue to support active weather over the nearby waters of Panama through Nicaragua. Scattered clouds and a few light showers are also expected in the northwestern corner of the sea.
Elsewhere, a disturbance in between Cuba and Hispaniola may kick up light showers in eastern Cuba during the evening. Fair and dry weather is expected in the eastern region of the sea.
For South America, precipitation will continue to fall across Paraguay and southern Brazil due to an exiting disturbance. To the south, cold temperatures and strong, moist, onshore flow will usher another round of mixed precipitation into southern Chile. Elsewhere, typical convective activity is expected in the northern countries.

This year's season featured only nine named storms, three hurricanes and two major hurr
