Weather Underground Forecast for Friday, July 18, 2008.

A trough hanging over Europe will keep continue to produce wet conditions over the continent on Friday. The British Isles will see light to moderate rainfall throughout the day, which will last through Saturday. The Scandinavian Peninsula can expect cloudy conditions and scattered light rain, with some areas of localized rain, on Friday. A heavier batch of rain is expected to move over Norway and Denmark late on Friday and going into Saturday. A region that includes the Netherlands, Germany, parts of western Poland, and the Czech Republic will be cloudy with some scattered showers through most of the day. The rain will temporarily taper off later in the day before making a return for the weekend. A weakening, but persistent front will extend from northern Italy, through Eastern Europe, and into western Russia, triggering a line of moderate to heavy rainfall along the path of the front on Friday. Spain and Portugal, along with southern France will remain mostly dry due to a ridge extending through the area on Friday.

The wet conditions will keep temperatures fairly cool across the continent on Friday, with highs only reaching the teens and low 20s. Parts of Spain and Portugal will approach 40, while the areas of Eastern Europe that are ahead of the front will reach the 30s.
