Weather Underground Forecast for Wednesday, December 02, 2009.
Three main weather features will bring wet weather to Europe on Wednesday. A wide area of low pressure will continue spinning north of the British Isles and will create wet weather for most of northern Europe. Flow around the system will push cool and moist air southward, which will create a cold front that will move through western France and Spain. Thus, areas behind this front will see scattered showers throughout the day, while ahead of this front are expected to see drier conditions. Paris and London will remain wet and cool with highs in the lower 50s(F)/ lower teens(C) and Munich will only see a few patchy clouds with highs in the upper 30s(F)/ near 4(C). This front will not quite reach into Scandinavia on Wednesday, but it will allow for much cooler air to pour into the region. Expect dry, sunny, and cool conditions to persist with Oslo reaching a high in the mid-20s(F)/ near -6(C), while Stockholm will see highs in the mid-30s(F)/ near 2(C).
Just south of Scandinavia, a low pressure system will spin off from the system to the west and hover over the Baltic Sea on Wednesday. This will bring light and scattered showers to the surrounding countries. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure will build over central and eastern Europe and allow for mostly sunny skies and mild weather.
In the Mediterranean, however, another low pressure system will develop from the trough to the north and is expected to track through the eastern Mediterranean. This will bring moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms to Greece, Serbia, and western Turkey. Barcelona and Rome will remain in the clear with plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid-50s(F)/ lower teens(C).

Hurricane season draws to a close
Posted: 10:23 AM EST on November 30, 2009
It's November 30, and the inconsequential Atlantic hurricane season of 2009 is in the books. Residents all along the Atlantic coast can give thanks for this year's much-needed respite after the pummeling Mother Nature gave last year. The four direct deaths recorded this year represented the lowest death toll since the El Niño hurricane season of 1997, which also had four deaths. This year's season featured only nine named storms, three hurricanes and two major hurr
