The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a freeze
warning... which is in effect from 11 PM this evening to 9 am EST
Thursday. This replaces the freeze watch previously in effect.

Temperatures tonight will be very similar to last night.
Overnight lows will likely drop into the upper 20s to around 30
across portions of the interior especially in the Lake Okeechobee
region and northern inland Collier County. Readings will drop to
around or just above freezing across the Metro areas from Palm
Beach through Miami-Dade counties. In Miami- Dade and Broward...
temperatures near freezing are most likely in the far western
suburbs... near and along the Sawgrass Expressway and Highway 27 in
Broward and along and west of the Florida Turnpike extension in
Miami- Dade... including The Redlands. Frost is also possible in
some of these areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

... Freezing temperatures possible this weekend into early next week...

Temperatures will increase into Friday from the currently cold temperatures,
however another strong cold front will move through South Florida
Friday night with more freezing temperatures possible Sunday and Monday
mornings across interior locations and possibly into the East
Coast metropolitan areas..

... Record low maximum temperature set at West Palm Beach...

A record low maximum temperature of 55 degrees was set at West Palm Beach
today. This breaks the old record of 57 set in 1919.
