Statement as of 1:55 AM EST en Marzo 05, 2015

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening...

* locations... Lawrence County Kentucky and portions of western
and northern West Virginia

* hazard types... snow.

* Snow accumulations... 8 to 12 inches for northeast Kentucky and
the tri state area. 4 to 6 inches in the Kanawha valley and
southeast West Virginia... including the Charleston and Beckley
area. 8 to 10 inches in the northern West Virginia lowlands and
the northern West Virginia mountains.

* Timing... rain will change to snow by 10 PM tonight. The snow...
   heavy at times... will continue through the first half of
Thursday.

* Impacts... untreated roads and sidewalks could become snow and
ice covered. Reduced visibilities... below one mile at times...
can be expected. Snow could cause downed tree limbs and power
outages.

* Temperatures... in the mid 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food...
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Flood Warning, Areal Flood Warning
Statement as of 6:24 AM EST en Marzo 05, 2015

The Flood Warning continues for
the Coal River at tornado.
* At 6:15 am Thursday the stage was 26.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 27.0 feet by this morning.
The river will fall below flood stage tonight.
* At stages near 27.0 feet... Coal River Road is flooded in several places along
river. Smith Creek Road and Ferrell roads are impassable.
* A crest near 27.0 feet compares to a previous crest of 25.5 feet on March 14
2010.
