Good evening everyone! This is my first tropical related blog entry, I hope you all enjoy, and leave suggestions in the comments section if you have any!

I will not do a full update on the tropics this evening, however, I will do an update on the most immediate threat, which is tropical storm Nate, located in the Bay of Campeche.

As of the 8 PM EDT intermediate advisory from the NHC, Nate has sustained winds of 45 mph, and is stationary. It is currently in a low shear environment with high SST'S. Water vapor imagery shows that there is a large area of very dry air to the storms North and West, however, it will have a hard time entraining into the center, given the low shear environment it is located in.

My intensity forecast for Nate:
Given the fact that Nate is in a favorable environment, I do think strengthening is likely. Most models indicate decent strengthening, and although it won't be insanely quick to occur, Nate will likely eventually become a hurricane.

18z Model guidance on TS NATE:

My track for Nate:

Above is my forecast track for Nate.

I hope you all enjoyed this update, and remember, leave comments and suggestions, I'd appreciate it! I will likely have another update sometime before Saturday, and depending on the amount of time I have available, it may or may not be a complete tropical update.
