A Windy Walk on the Prairie

Today will be sunny with a high of 8C(46F). UV index 6 or high.
Tonight will bring a few clouds and a low of -3C(26F).

On my walk with Abbey yesterday i thought I was going to be blown away. Not only was the wind strong from the NW but it was cold. It looks like today will be better,
I decded to go out for coffee last night at a bussies. I hadn't been there in a while but niether of us had much new. He's retired too and passses his time restoring a 1955 Dodge 1/2 ton. it will be a bit of a sleeper. The outside will look original but he's added a 460 cu.inch motor under the hood. It will be hard to keep the tread on the rear tires.
Tonight I may venture over to another friends and see how he's doing. The late sunsets make getting out in the evening easier while the Queen works.

We're windy, too. Blech. I've made a note to get a couple of my favorite marinade recipes posted for you. I like to put chicken breasts or beef into a ziploc bag with the marinade in the morning - then it's ready at night. I don't do much grilling any more, but I surely do like it. Good morning Tony, at least its still morning where you are..overcast here with the odd bout of sunshine peeking through, light wind but temps still reasonably good. Sat will be our coolest day before we start warming up for May. By the middle of next week to the wknd its a steady climb to those lovely 70F....Thank goodness for May. Trying not to turn the furnace higher than 20.5C so to conserve fuel but this has been a long month of ups and downs. A cooler house means more arthritic complaints but hopefully May will bring relief. We did get up into the mid 60s yesterday with lots of sunshine. That really helped. Got alot done yesterday so today is a coasting day. Tomorrow is docs appointment...Anyway, dear ones, hope you have a better day without the winds and that it soon warms up for you too.
