First off, my prayer, thoughts and well wishes are for those in the Bahamas currently being affected by Major Hurricane Irene. Irene is a scary and mean looking storm, I can understand how some people can say storms are beautiful but to me they are only beautiful when they are in the middle of the ocean and not affecting any land and populations. Right now I am sitting in South Florida watching uneasily as Irene gets ready to pass to our east and while I'm assured by the NHC that she is not going to visit us, I am still feeling some anxiety about her. At this time Irene seems to be going thru an eyewall replacement cycle and poised to become a very very dangerous storm. I pray for all those in her path that will be affected and will sigh a sigh of relief when she is north of my latitude.
