...it was so weird. I was out walking Katie this afternoon down by the Craig cannery. We were standing on the boardwalk when I saw it. At first it looked like the wake from a passing boat. Except there WASN'T a passing boat. And then it broke apart and was seven distinct waves. They got larger. There wasn't anything sticking out of them, and the tops of them were white capped, but they never broke. Instead of heading in toward the beach, they PARALLELED the beach all the way from that point near the pilings to the city dock. It was weird. Just WEIRD. I don't know if it was whales under the water pushing up the waves, but I do know they were FAST. They moved really quickly. And there were seven. In a straight line.
Sorry. It was just one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen on the water. It's still bugging me.
