IT'S SPRING TIME IN MICHIGAN!!!!! WINNING

With the warm air comes chances of storms. We had some severe weather roll through Michigan on March 12, 2012. Check out my detailed official blog entry by clicking the link text below.

This is a picture I snapped of some very dark cumulonimbus cloud bases on the east side of Greenville, MI, just outside of town. A Tornado Watch was issued for much of Lower Michigan. The first Tornado Watch of the year for this area. It took a little bit longer than expected for the air to really destabilize, some low clouds hung around, which prevented a whole lot of daytime heating. READ MORE...

Oh, aheesh... I broke out in poose gimples just looking at those videos. It sure was coming down, wasn't it? How often have you seen snowflakes that large? How's things been with you? I haven't been out and about much lately. Just a quick daily post on my blog and my Dad's. I'm doing OK. Work, go home, work, go home, do chores and errands. Watch TV. Hey Bug! It's good to see you! These videos are all straight out of west Michigan! We've had a lack of winter so far this season, but when we do get snow, we get it good! There is 4-6 inches of the white stuff on the ground right now actually. As far as large snowflakes, that one was unusual. Most often times we just get the big flake clumps that look like large single flakes, but are not. So seeing a flake that big is a real treat! Things have been up and down, but mostly up! Moved from Kent City, MI, up to Morley, MI, and am now living in Greenville, MI. I have had time mostly for just facebook, that's about it however, cable internet will be installed this week, so I can get back in the swing of things! Sounds like you have been very busy as well! Do you at least get to enjoy working? I hope so, it can get life consuming after a while. The money's nice to have though definitely!! I need to hang out here more again, I miss it. Hey Charles! Really great vids. I have found that I enjoy snow the most when I am watching it fall from afar! LOL This is actually one of the coldest nights of the year in Central Florida and my only comfort is looking at other folks weather and realizing how much worse it could be. I thought my friend RTLSNK was crazy, choosing February to meet up for a weekend at the beach on the gulf coast, but thought we were actually gonna get away with it after 3 weeks of very nice weather...but NO! Hi Rob! Thanks man! Yeah, the snow is definitely enjoyed from afar, even I think so and I live with it every year LOL. How cold did it get in Florida? Too bad the weather decided to choose now to be all cold and whatnot, that was a big ol trough that came through. Glad y'all had fun though! Good to be back (again) but this time I plan on staying, life is being less screwed up now, so that leaves me time to do things like make money and socialize. Glad you stopped in! Sorry, late answering your question. It was 40 at the beach in St Petersburg Sunday morning but only got to 46 here. We came home Sunday evening and Monday morning it got to 39 here. It's all good! No worries. Dang that is really cold for Florida! Glad that it's warm again. It's "mild" here, almost 40 (LOL cold to you) and the sun is shining now as the warm front pushes northward. Charles! Somehow I missed the fact that you were back, until I saw you in Alley's blog this morning. Just sat down to check it all out, and I must say I love the videos. No snow for us this year - I guess our three or four little dustings last year used up the allotment for a while. I took a look at where you are. I'm reading a woman's blog now from Michigan - she's up on the north end of Torch Lake. She's really funny and neat - I think most Michiganders are good people. ;) I am glad to see you back. It sure is, Rob! We had highs in the upper 30s and low 40s across the area today. Melted a lot of the snow off. Hey there, Shore! Yeah, I'm back :) Just getting around to some blogs and seeing what's happening. Glad you enjoyed my videos! Too bad you didn't get any snow this year, it's fun stuff. Michiganders can be nice, or not nice, not many in between types haha. If you drive here, go 5mph over the speed limit, and always know where you're going, then motorists will be really friendly LOL. I know where Torch Lake is. I plan on sticking around longer. I moved from Kent City, MI, to Morley, MI, now to Greenville, MI. I had slow internet since October (better than none, but too slow) But now, the cable got installed today, and this means I will be spending more time here, AND uploading photos! Thanks!! Yeah, it's nice to be back up to speed, literally! 15mbps download speed, and 3mbps upload speed. Also, where I live now, I have a good friend who is thinking of upgrading to the 100mbps download speed O_O So if I absolutely have to get something online like "now" I just drive 5mins from here and upload it haha. Howdy Chuck, You have some serious snow in your videos. I like those "tongue drifts" and even at my age I still like to ram through them with a plow. I drop in at your Facebook page from time to time and did enjoy your tornado video. I have not been active here at Weather Underground and my crops at Farm Town have went to "spoil" quite a few times. I still play (irregularly) Farm Town even though I have nearly a billion coins and enough fuel to supply a large city for a week. Only if it were real. Hey Rob! Thanks man!! I was trying to post a photo up there too but it wouldn't work (at least not on my end) good to see the link text at least worked! That hail hit hard and fast, low topped storms, so there wasn't much ascent. Steep lapse rates though, so that moisture was able to shoot up there quick and freeze. Thanks again! Hey WxWyz!
