 ADDED - I decided to close my blog for now. I'll check for mail messages, but the blog itself will be closed for a while. 10/17/09 The gate - On the way to our house, we make a sharp turn that would otherwise lead us into a gate. The property is rarely used and the gate is usually closed. My daughter is fascinated by this “gate” and usually mentions it EVERY time we go by. You can imagine her excitement when we pass by, and she notices that the gate is open. I must admit the gate holds a certain fascination for me, as well. I’m not sure if it’s the colors, the shadows, the path – or the gate. I've been wanting to stop and take photos of the gate, thinking there is a "story" in this. This week, I happened by with my camera on an "open" occasion. (Coming back to get the closed photo, was easy.) My story - I had been thinking about my poor neglected blog, and that there is no reason to make a new one, if I can't even do a decent job of lurking and keeping up with my WU friends. I’ve been busy with several projects, but mostly just enjoying life. The flip side of that is I’ve missed knowing what’s up with my WU friends and blogs. In that respect, I feel like the closed gate. I probably won’t be around much for a while.. Even if I decide to close the blog, please know that I’ll be back to open the gate - as frequently as I can.

Beautiful days here this week, but the nights have been chilly..Record Report Statement as of 07:00 am EDT on April 17, 2009a record low temperature of 34 degrees was set at Wilmington NC this morning. This breaks the old record on this date of 35 set in 1962. Sorry, I've not had time to check-in. Figured I'd change to a "generic" not-much-to-say blog. Don't worry about "dusting off" the blog.....
