This blog has been almost totally content-driven from the get-go. Here you go folks, look at the pretty webcam pictures! If you wanted any background information about the locations of the cams, for the most part people were out of luck! With the National Park Service cams, I supplied links to the parks' websites, where anyone could get all the info they wanted. Other cams were trickier. Milos and Mille Lacs has websites that give details about their respective locations, but what about the WU cams? I don't know anything more about the Parc de Chateau in France any more than you do. I know it's in France, and that's about it!
So now, I'm going to try something new: Each cam will come with a little background information, along with the Weathersticker. I'm also going to add an eighth cam in order to get a little better worldwide coverage.

Did you know that Cancun didn't even exist before 1970? Built on part of the world's second largest coral reef, the Mexican Government helped finance the first nine hotels. The cam is from the Beach Palace Resort, a very exclusive(and expensive) all-inclusive resort!

This cam is courtesy of the Howard Falls Trust which has been in the Howard family for over 170 years. The falls is located in Erie County, Pa!

Ketchikan has been called the "Salmon Capital of the World", and is the Southeasternmost large town in Alaska, about 600 miles north of Vancouver Island. Tongass National Forest is its' neighbor to the east!

Well, I had about an hour and a half of downtime earlier in the night, and instead of blogging, I decided to take a nap, as I was pooped already when I arrived at work after a long day prepping power equipment for the upcoming lawn and garden season! Gee, where do I start? :) Tony, so far I had a pretty good time, as I was very busy around the house doing projects. It's a good thing I came to work tonight, as I had to pay for the stuff I bought while I was off, lol! Alley, we're getting great weather too, temps are supposed to make it up to 70 today! Another thing we have in common is spoiled kitties! :) Hi Red, I haven't checked what Thursday will bring, but it's going to be warm here today, and that's always a reason to be on the lookout for severe stuff! Hopefully it won't get as bad as last year. Pros, thanks for filling in the info on Mt. Civetta! The Italians have a wonderful way of naming things like towns and mountains! GG, the nice weather is getting me in the mood for gardening! Too bad it's still too cold and wet here to start! ycd, good workers are hard to find, no matter what position they work! They want to live the life of leisure at work as if they were at home! Briar, I have APOD RSS'd at home! I also liked the auroras that were in the video! Trauma, Milos is as beautiful at night as it is in the daytime! Maybe you could take your wife on a walk on the beach there sometime! Sandi, I'm so glad you are getting lots of rain! Maybe your hedge will make it, after all! :) Reno, Shore, I think that underground root cellars were fairly common in the midwest 100 years ago. It provided a cool place where people could store potatoes and such for months without spoilage, and it had the added benefit of providing protection from storms. Shore, glad you recovered from your ordeal! Sandi, I bet there were millions of those air-raid bunkers in Britain during the war! The "cruise ship" is still docked at Cancun. Funny: on the "Great Forest" cam you can see only at night there that the valley below is well lit and we gotta assume populated. Good morning! Soggy, soggy, Thursday here. It's supposed to rain most of the day, and into the evening. Weatherwise, this spring is shaping up to be similar to last year; wet! New blog this week! We'll see how busy it is here before I can nail down a time when I'll get it done! Good morning Ylee. Never thought about Easter Egg hiding....LOL Don't have to worry about that here anymore. Kids are all too big for that stuff. The Easter bunny retired his ears and fluffy tail a long time ago...LOL I do however love to buy those solid chocolate bunnies...yum yum, the one and only time I must say I really enjoy eating excessive chocolate.... I usually buy a bunch of them at a dollar each and throw them in the freezer...When I want to drizzle chocolate over something I take one out, melt it in the microwave and use that. Its also great breaking off a small piece and putting it in your cup of coffee and letting it melt slowly....yum Anyway, have a great day. Good morning Ylee. Friday has finally arrived, cooler but with sunshine and a much calmer breeze. Looks like its going to be one of those days. Woke up at 4:30, had my shower and was dressed by 5 AM and nowhere to go...LOL Fed a happy little Miss Smudgie her breakfast and now she is off in her warm bed sleeping away her full tummy. Good morning! A clear and chilly morning here, around 30 degrees with a light wind! Supposed to make it up to the low 50s today! Right on Ylee: Totally wet here this morning and our 7 day forecast is solid rain. No lows to make it snow, T'anks God. The thing Ylee for me getting up at 5:30 is just silly, after all, I don't have to get ready to go to work as I have been retired since 2005. It just makes for a long day and I would rather sleep through till 7 AM like normal folks and not need a nap during the day to keep me from falling flat on my face....LOL Catching a few hours sleep at a time is not as restful as one good full sleep. Cooler here today with spurts of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy sky. I see by Sunday we will be back up to 60...Oh Yes!!!!! that's more like it. Have a wonderful afternoon dear one. Good morning YLee. I haven't installed the belt yet, it still sits on a table. By the looks of the forecast I'm not going to need it again this year. I may give it a try today and it will be ready for next season. Yesterday I did a bit of drainage work and had the accumulated snow melt draining onto the street. Would truly be a bummer if they made it a permanent thing and like the others I question why??? I certainly did not see any porn on any of the ones I looked at. Evening, Ylee, Thought I'd find you here - or at least you're partly there! I worry about you when you're running on short sleep. I hope you're there for a normal shift and can go home and get some rest. We ended up getting 4.27" rain, from Friday afternoon through about noon today. It was great - spaced out well enough that there was a chance for a lot to soak in. Whatever we're doing, it must be pleasing the rain gods. ;) Have a good evening. Alley, no coffee for me; I only drink an occasional vanilla cappuchino. I did get a 15 minute catnap about an hour ago. I'll probably get a couple of more as the night goes on. I'll probably take a Benadryl when I get home in the morning and sleep for about 8 hours. Then, if I don't get called in, I'll go back to bed about 11 tomorrow night, and sleep another 7-8 hours! Come Tuesday, I'll be back to my semi-perky self! :) Wow, Shore, that's a lot of rain! A few more rounds like that, and you'll be almost caught up!
