Good morning everyone.
Gee, where do I start? :)
Tony, so far I had a pretty good time, as I was very busy around the house doing projects. It's a good thing I came to work tonight, as I had to pay for the stuff I bought while I was off, lol!
Alley, we're getting great weather too, temps are supposed to make it up to 70 today! Another thing we have in common is spoiled kitties! :)
Hi Red, I haven't checked what Thursday will bring, but it's going to be warm here today, and that's always a reason to be on the lookout for severe stuff! Hopefully it won't get as bad as last year.
Pros, thanks for filling in the info on Mt. Civetta! The Italians have a wonderful way of naming things like towns and mountains!
GG, the nice weather is getting me in the mood for gardening! Too bad it's still too cold and wet here to start!
ycd, good workers are hard to find, no matter what position they work! They want to live the life of leisure at work as if they were at home!
Briar, I have APOD RSS'd at home! I also liked the auroras that were in the video!
Trauma, Milos is as beautiful at night as it is in the daytime! Maybe you could take your wife on a walk on the beach there sometime!
Sandi, I'm so glad you are getting lots of rain! Maybe your hedge will make it, after all! :)
Reno, Shore, I think that underground root cellars were fairly common in the midwest 100 years ago. It provided a cool place where people could store potatoes and such for months without spoilage, and it had the added benefit of providing protection from storms.
Shore, glad you recovered from your ordeal!
Sandi, I bet there were millions of those air-raid bunkers in Britain during the war!
Doublecheck and make sure I got everybody....yep! :) Now on to the other blogs!
This appeared on my local weather this morning:
Wind : SW 37km/h
Wind gusts : 119km/
Actual wind is about 5km.
Just had to share that.
I had to go back to work too 'cause when I'm off other projects still cost money.
Hope you are home having a nice rest now after your long night. Catch ya later dear one.
Wonderful capture of the moon, Linda - it looks like a painting!
Morning Ylee - yesterday was a typical "four seasons" day in the UK. Rain, wind, snow and warm sunshine! lol Got some photos, but not many, as I was driving most of the day!
New blog this week! We'll see how busy it is here before I can nail down a time when I'll get it done!
Yup, we have to go to work and pay for our hobbies, ycd! :)
Hi, Sandi, too warm for snow here; it was 74 yesterday, 64 when I got up for work this morning! Lets see if I can make the Cancun ship "sail" in the next couple of days!
Shore, I've sen "moon over Milos" many times; thanks for saving it!
Trauma, if the moon started blinking, I'd get worried, lol!
Alley, I didn't get any yardwork done yesterday either! Normally, we don't mow or trim until after Easter, as family comes over with little ones, and the tall grass gives more places to hide eggs!
The moon can only wink
I think
Went out to look up and the sky is solid overcast here.
mornin ylee
I do however love to buy those solid chocolate bunnies...yum yum, the one and only time I must say I really enjoy eating excessive chocolate.... I usually buy a bunch of them at a dollar each and throw them in the freezer...When I want to drizzle chocolate over something I take one out, melt it in the microwave and use that. Its also great breaking off a small piece and putting it in your cup of coffee and letting it melt slowly....yum
Anyway, have a great day. I am sitting here watching it rain but I see the wind is calming a bit. Now that is a good thing.
Mornin' Todd!
Kids are too big, Alley? You'd be amazed at how many teenagers line up to find five dollars in a plastic egg! Their grandma put about fifty bucks in eggs and scatters them. Heck, I've made ten dollars just weedeating, lol!
but here is SRV with BB king and Albert King live, The Sky is Crying.
Thai cam isn't updating at this monment....
Have yourself a safe and quiet day dear one. Rest well.
Yesterday I spent most of the day catching up on the blogs; today I'll start working on the next blog!
ycd, I think the Devil knew better than to go to Austin, lol!
Good mornng Alley, I think you're getting the same effects of the high pressure as we are, and that's a good thing! You know, if you don't do anything except move the clock forward one hour, you'll be getting up at 5:30!
See what I mean on the Great Forest cam?
I'd swear the picture just now was a wilderness stretching to the background but at night there the lights of a city show up.
See? :)
Totally wet here this morning and our 7 day forecast is solid rain. No lows to make it snow, T'anks God.
Tloml and her sister are going off somewhere (they don't always agree and they rarely tell me anything) in the little RV. What'd ya bet they find some sun somewhere on this island?
Dang! I did not button the cover on the tools in the pickup last night - oh well - most of the tools I use are in the building I'm working on.
Cooler here today with spurts of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy sky. I see by Sunday we will be back up to 60...Oh Yes!!!!! that's more like it.
Have a wonderful afternoon dear one.
Take care!
Like the post #172 about why there are lights in the mountains. Clever!
Are you in, out, working, resting? ... I get confused!
Think instead of making a coffee, I may head back to bed for a couple more hours. Have a great one.
Been cold and rainy but I can almost hear the ground hum a happy tune as it hydrates from the drought and spring flowers are pushing through.
Be safe and have a great day.
have a good one.
Busy night tonight; I hope to get some traction on the new blog! We'll see!
Hi, Tony! I did have a good one today, hope you had one too!
GG, I'm glad you're getting some good rain! We could stand a break from it ourselves, we haven't been near drought conditions like you had!
Alley, I'm only working 11 hours tonight; bad thing is, I only get paid for 11 hours, lol!
Hi, Sandi! Well, the graphics in #172 I got from the National Park Service; I'm certainly not clever enough to make them!(It would be cool if I could, lol!)
ycd, if the Ohio river rose high enough to cover the road to the plant, I wouldn't be here, unless I was already here when they closed the road! Then it would be a blogging marathon! :)
Hopefully this is but a momentary setback!
For the whole of two weeks we will be one hour nearer to each other!! lol
Yesterday I lost three of the photos in my header... but they are here again today. Possibly WU is having hiccoughs!
BTW - Looks like "thar's a storm brewing in Milos!
BTW, have you ever checked out the other Milos cam?
WU losing over 2000 cams from their directory is more like passing a possum-sized hairball!
Have a great day dear one. Get some much needed rest then enjoy your time with the family.
I haven't installed the belt yet, it still sits on a table. By the looks of the forecast I'm not going to need it again this year. I may give it a try today and it will be ready for next season.
Yesterday I did a bit of drainage work and had the accumulated snow melt draining onto the street. With a forecasted high of 63F on thursday it won't be long untill it's all gone.
Enjoy the day.
Guess we should add something to that old saying:
Good Lord Willing, Creeks Don't Rise and the Power and Cable Lines "Keep on Runnin'"
What is clear is that if you want "clear", hanging out with the pelican isn't the best choice. Sandi's slop has made its way east!
Got to go to work tomorrow :( off on Tuesday. Probably next week too.
Cal, are you saying you're off next Tuesday, or you have to work next Monday? My synapses aren't processing nuances! :)
Briar, thanks for posting the photo! I hope you're doing OK!
Shore, if the Gov't worked like WU....or is it if WU worked like the Gov't? Never mind, right now I can't tell much difference, lol!
ycd, no CME's and we'll be good to go!:)
63F Thursday, Tony? Good grief, you're going to have to wash up some shorts! :)
Guess it will be busy at the coffee pot tonite for you since you mentioned only 2 hrs sleep. Not good if you have to put in another 11 hr shift...
I will be thinking of you dear one. Have a safe evening.
Thought I'd find you here - or at least you're partly there! I worry about you when you're running on short sleep. I hope you're there for a normal shift and can go home and get some rest.
We ended up getting 4.27" rain, from Friday afternoon through about noon today. It was great - spaced out well enough that there was a chance for a lot to soak in. Whatever we're doing, it must be pleasing the rain gods. ;)
Have a good evening. It's time to go to bed myself and get ready for a work week I hope is nice and dry. It should be, at least for a few days. Early fog, maybe a shower. I can cope!
Wow, Shore, that's a lot of rain! A few more rounds like that, and you'll be almost caught up! After what happened last year, it has to be a relief!
Shouting in case you have nodded off!
I do hope you can get some sleep and catch up on the Zzzz-ed.
I agree with Linda, I also worry about you trying to work on such little sleep:(
I am awake after my allotted 6 to 7 hours, woken this morning by a blackbird singing. I got up, opened the blackout-blind and looked on the beautiful morning.... NOT ....it is thick fog!! LOL
We did have a wonderful day yesterday - in fact, the south coast resorts had a hotter day than many of the Mediterranean Islands - made it to 75!!
Take care :)
Don't ask me...I don't know what I'm still doing up either, but I'm hoping a couple benadryl will do the trick. Brain won't shut down but eyes refusing to stay awake.
Rob, I'd love a couple of Benadryl right now, but I don't think I'd make it to the top of the hour!
A few sheep in the backyard would look good. :)
Enjoy the day.
