Can feel the wind it's sucking in though.
Of course I didn't mean it that way!
Enjoy.
Looked impressive on the radar for sure.
90*F here at 1645 hrs, humidity has dropped to 28%.
I don't think I've ever seen it that low here.
It was at 99% this morning, that is a drop, eh?
It has been a really long week around here.:)
Well, it did sprinkle for about 2 minutes, so I guess our forecast of 20% showers or thunderstorms verified.
I take that back the high has moved north east from you today. Guess you are in the dry slot north of us.
Yes, right smack in the middle of it.
That will be good though, the team gets back from Haiti tonight at 1845 hrs in Atlanta.
I bet they will be 20 tired folks but glad to be home!
We will also glad that they are home!:)
A little bumpy for a few moments perhaps but nothing major. :)
Time to start dinner, back later.
Check out the word of the day on Orca's. :)
Thanks Swampy, it is a great book of words!
RTL, Let me know that all got home safely.
Take good care!
When I was young, my favorite DJ on my favorite station used to sign off every night with this tune.
I can think of nothing better.
All should be home in the next 30 minutes or so!!!
Waiting on text message when she gets to her house!!!
Thanks for the prayers you guys!
OK I'm down to one tune now.
What if I played more at once?
Being a "One Trick" sort of guy I ain't gonna try that.
Reminds me of a Sam R. Delaney novel: "Bable 17" where all history is "compacted" into a weird screech which, if you figure out how to slow it down enough you can hear past and future. Been a while since I read it so don't quote me on that review.
RTL: we posted comments at the same time. I'll be interested to read anything you post about your daughter's time there. Wheels down is good in rough weather.

Overslept this morning, had just enough time to start the coffee, take a shower, and get to sound check at Church. Just got home from lunch, daughter is spending quality time with her husband and kids today and we will get the whole debriefing about the trip tomorrow.
Will fill you guys in about it as soon as we find out about the trip. She did say the team got the new orphanage, Alex's House, completely painted during the week they were there!
Time for a nap, and then we have a concert to go to tonight at 1730 hrs. See you later.
YCD, you raise some interesting questions. I'll try to find some time to think on it and get back to you.
RTL,
Glad all is well. Thanks for the report.
Since everything outside is sopping wet, I might try to take a nap myself for a bit. IF I can remember how to do that!
Oh yes - Year of the Cat
Guess I just like music
Poetry is ok
But symphony behind the words is ...............
Where it's at
Hey all, the rain missed us again tonight. We really need it. The lake is down several feet and fishing only produced a 4' unwanted gator tonight. Perhaps it needs an incentive or rain dance to find and fill our watershed>
Now for a tune eh? I picked this over Phil Collins :)
Be well > !
Thanks. We had that one tiny intense cell that broke apart and spread out right as it arrived, providing about 30 minutes of good rain. Other than that is was just a couple light sprinkles.
Enough though that I wont have to water the veggies for a day or two.
YCD,
I like to music to that one too.
Good Morning Everyone!
Had to get out in the yard as the Sun came up this morning to avoid the heat. Was 62* when we started, 80* now and still climbing, supposed to hit 95* this afternoon. Let it come now, we are done for the day!
Might not be on in the morning either, I have that hilarious annual medical test tomorrow where they give you some laughing gas, and then pump about 250 psi of air in you, and then take a peak with a tiny camera attached to a rotor-rooter. :)
SugarBear will have to drive me home of course, I'll still be laughing till about noon!
Time to go to Publix, have to buy 2 gallons of Gatoraide. :)
If you must.
And that's about all I've got to say about that.
Sorry for my Unauthorized Absence recently.
Entirely due to Forces Beyond my Control.
i.e., we forgot to pay the service provider....
Heading out to get the last Vital Supplies for 4 days in the Forest.
Looking for a Yoga Mat for Lady Pott, to place inside the Hennessey Hammok for Ultimate Comfort.
Seems that there has been a rush on these items recently, and everyone says "come back in 2 weeks..."
Anyway, I'll be back later with words of uncalled for wisdom....
Looking forward to it.
Wisdom is a good thing, called for or otherwise!
If I'm not here, leave a message...I'll get back to you.
(no 'Snake, you don't have to wait for the tone...just type)
:o)
Cute. :)
92* outside now, the garage is still 25* less than that, I am glad I insulated those garage doors last year and put the dark film on the windows. A small window AC might be a good idea in the coming years if the temps keep going up every year.
OK, its about time to get this routine started.
Will check in tomorrow!
Oh, one more thing...Please tell SugarBear not to let you post tomorrow until the medication wears off. You're a good friend, but there are some things I really don't want to read about...especially if your editing ability is impaired!
LOL
Take care.
So...I'm out for a while.
Take care and have a good evening!
95*F in Macon, Georgia at 1715 hours today.
A new worlds record.
See, I can behave when I want to. :)
Have a great evening.
Yeah. Well I have seemingly written myself into a corner with that post and I am unable to extricate myself without trying desperately....
Let it be said that my weekend was a Good One, as I had some Friends & Relations came by on Sat to help with walls on The Studio (it's been suffering from lack of Activity...)
The day was good and we got through a lot of work, beer, food, laffs, whatnot and stuff.
Other than that, things have been quiet.
Heading out in the morning into the bush till Friday evening.
Lady Pott, Hammocks, 2 friends and all the fixin's.
Need to get into the Wilderness. We are both going a little nuts with Ancient Person here. Need some time off again. Whew!
A little rain:
Happy May Day!
Good tunes this morning Goofy! The sun is finally peeking out this am. Felt like I could have stayed in bed until noon this morning, but too much to do.
Pottery, You are off the hook for now, but if you are going to be lounging around all week, you will have plenty of time to come up with something wise and witty to say upon your return. Have fun!
RTLSNK, I'd tell you to have fun as well, but there would be no point in it. Poor SugarBear!
LOL
92*F in Macon today at 1800 hours.
42% humidity, very dry, but no wind at all.
Pollen count: 7.6 out of 12.
Spoke briefly with daughter this afternoon,
they were safe where they were,
but Port-Au-Prince was a dangerous area for American women,
they only went there once but had to be surrounded by
the men in the team and their Haitian counterparts.
They were not allowed to go to the tent city areas.
Will talk more when she has more time.
Out for now, I am doing fine, report was good!
The firecopter was up early this morning..
Thanks for the update! Get some sleep tonight.
Happy May Day to you as well Skye!
Sure hope you get enough rain soon to soak those areas down. Nobody likes the sound of a firecopter in the morning.
Anyhow, I'm pretty drained, emotionally, right now and am going to spend what energy I have left with her tonight.
As for a song for the night...can't do any better than post 310...enjoy.
You folks take care...have a good night...See you tomorrow.
God Bless you all!
-Hood out.
Maybe one song.
Goodnight!
Gnight Rob, and one more for the ditch, arrrrhhhh! :)
Oh, sorry, I forgot you guys don't get up as early as I do.
Was just out doing my four miles before breakfast.
Will try to be a little quieter next time.:)
Great song. I've always loved it.
RTL,
Good Morning, Sir!
Go ahead on, I'll see you at the finish line.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SKYEPONY!!!!
Best Slam Dunk Zing I've seen lately!
Very well done.
Watch out for the bus of course. :)
You know I can't just let an opportunity like that go to waste.
I did give you first chance...
Started putting the mulch in the landscape areas this morning.
Then I mowed the lawn, only takes an hour on the tractor.
I'm in now having lunch, give me a call if you want.
Watched the top shot final last night and realized I haven't practiced in a couple months. Nice day for it.
Back later.
Man, it's hot out there in the sun today! Time to start figuring out what's for supper. Either Chicken Something or Something Chicken.
Hmmmm...
Fried chicken breast strips. Stuffed Jalapeno peppers. I'll let her decide on the veggie when she gets home.
93* here at 1530 hours today, 93* again Thur,
and then 95* Friday and Saturday.
I hear Fairbanks is nice this time of year.
Stuffed Jalapeno peppers???
That's like putting Wasabi on a cracker.
Both options are loony tunes! :)
The secret to eating hot chili peppers is to eat them with fats. The hot stuff is soluble in fat...that's why milk works a lot better than water at getting rid of the heat.
I did learn a neat little trick the first time I dipped a shrimp into what I thought was guacamole and it turned out to be wasabi, take a small packet of sugar and put it in your mouth and let it dissolve in your mouth and it takes the burn away.
Won't ever make that mistake at a Japanese resturant again! :)
Rob, I've just got to say you must be racking up lots of brownie points in the husband-and-best-friend department. Talking Angie down after work, even though it leaves you emotionally drained. Fixing dinner though you'd rather be out doing some target "work". Angie is one lucky woman -- but you already know that.
Here's yer sign:
