Hello WU Friends:
I enjoyed putting together the Best of WunderPhotos blog series last year based on the opinion of the raters. If you didn't get a chance to check it out, there's a monthly installment based on the month the shot was taken.
Now it's on to a new labor of love for 2010. I've been contacting many of the regular WU contributors asking them to choose their top favorite pics they've ever submitted. Then I'll be grouping them by themes of emotion / feeling.
So, if you want to join in, start by choosing your 5 favorite shots and sending me the titles and the dates. Then tell me what theme you connect with each shot. The themes I'm working with are: strength, love,gratefulness, whimsical, awe/majesty, tranquility, freedom, hope, perfection, contemplation and wonderment. And for the last blog I'll include a grab bag of emotions not included in the above list.
So this blog is dedicated to photos that evoke the emotion of Strength according to the photographer. For some of us, we may need some inspiration in this area to make it through Winter or a difficult situation.
I'm using this idea of strength - something or someone that gives one strength or is a source of power or encouragement; sustenance.
I'll also be asking the contributors to comment on why their shot produces that emotion for them.
Please check in often as pics and comments will be added as we go along. I really enjoy our WU community and this is just one way to give something back for your inspiring friendship.
