It's not that the Front Range of Colorado continues to experience above average temperatures, it's that it gets hotter sooner in the day and stays hotter later.

This summer is much more pronounced. I've never felt anything like it. The weather in Colorado has a lot of variability in it, but not this summer. It's hotter for longer periods of the day. It's much windier during longer stretches, and it's much drier.

If I recall my brief stay at NCAR and various IPCC reports, this is what was predicted. Unfortunately this is only the beginning.

The past few weeks have been devastatingly hot and windy. The wind and low humidity seems to create a feedback loop of more of the same.Today it seems like the SW Monsoon moisture plume shot up from MX/AZ when the Front Range needed it most. And interestingly there's not a shred of malevolence, which is how the epic June 6th storm felt. Today feels normal. It's cooled down to 75.Growing up in Colorado Springs late 60s-70s the monsoons always cooled us down, sometime...
