It really has been uncomfortable the past two days, and today will continue the hot humid weather, except sometime this afternoon storms will begin to form and gradually become strong and more numerous late today and tonight.Slow moving front so showers linger into monday morning along the east coast and Cape Cod and the islands.Might be a couple more showers builiding up late afteroon tomorrow, but most of Sunday looks beautiful, but more showers moving in late Sunday and showeres and storms on Monday.Next week looks cool and unsettled.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED AFTER 2 PM THIS
AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT. THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE ISOLATED STRONG TO
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. SOME THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE HEAVY RAINS
THAT MAY RESULT IN LOCALIZED FLOODING.

THERE IS A LOW PROBABILITY OF A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE
COASTAL PLAIN DURING SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
Well, for now, our Northeast regional weather radar looks decent with no storm system moving our way. YEAH! However, I'm keeping a wary eye on the direction of those systems currently traveling through PA. Most probably, when the cold front rolls in later this afternoon, it'll present potentially serious storms not yet seen. Fingers crossed that there's no damaging results and that, by tomorrow, our weekend will once again be more bearable and enjoyable. Next week, our expected highs of approx. 72F degrees will match most of our lows of this one. What a spring/summer roller coaster ride!
Looks like we may be in for quite the erratic summer season as well.
Hope you and the Mrs. find ways to beat the heat this TGIF and are able to spend a more relaxing weekend together. Remember to pace yourselves while renovating, as it doesn't take many stressful events these days to finally knock us off our feet.
P.S. What? No mention of the Red Sox's 5-game winning streak today? LOL! Sadly, it hasn't been enough to cheer up a quite disgruntled "Big Papi", despite his recent grand slams, home runs and props to other team members.

...STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATER THIS AFTERNOON
INTO THIS EVENING...
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS SOUTHERN
NEW ENGLAND BY MID AFTERNOON AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT.
A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE WITH THE PRIMARY THREAT
BEING DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL ALSO BE A CONCERN
WHICH COULD LEAD TO ISOLATED FLOODING IF STORMS MOVE OVER THE SAME
AREAS.
THE STORMS SHOULD INITIALLY DEVELOP IN THE INTERIOR BY 2 OR 3
PM...MOVING TOWARD THE COAST BY EARLY EVENING.
PEOPLE ENGAGED IN OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD KEEP AN EYE
TO THE SKY AND BE READY TO QUICKLY MOVE TO SHELTER IF A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM WARNING IS ISSUED OR THE SKY BEGINS TO LOOK
THREATENING.
For now, it appears that those nasty t'storms, accompanying the cold front moving in, are staying well south of us in upper Connecticut and traveling more in an easterly direction. Hope these current storms, and others that may arise, stay the same course throughout the remainder of the day into night! Can we
ever experience better weather transitions around here as in decades gone by??
