No Environmental Science, or Meteorolgy degrees to be found here. All I can offer is three decades of experience observing tropical Atlantic systems.

I am looking forward to some Hope and Change in the right direction at the gasoline pump soon!
I think milk is $3.79/gallon, blueberries $4.99 for a tiny little package. And on and on...
1% milk is now selling for $4.60 a gallon!!! A 10lb bag of Idaho potatoes was $6.00!!!
A 40lb bag of Purina Dog Chow was $23.00, up from $19.77 two weeks ago.... I guess the dogs may be facing a cut-back, or a LAYOFF!
The pundits have been predicting that rampant inflation would eventually occur with all this QE by the Federal Reserve... I guess it is now here... I fear that we are on another Jimmy Carter ride, with possible 15-20% inflation rates for the next two years....
if you feel the prices are going to continue to get stupid at Walmart, AND you have the room in the fridge? get extra milk. Esp if the date is good, better to have it in YOUR fridge than at Walmart's fridge.
Been watching WTI crude prices hop around, too. No real dependability it seems, day to day. So the prices seem to go up, when WTI goes up...but they never come down, when WTI comes down.
Ha. Go figure.
Don't spend much at the grocery store, I grow a lotta what I eat, and make a lotta soups and stuff to stretch meat. Amazing how many meals I can get outta one rotisserie chicken.
I see it went up a dime for you also!
$3.59-$3.65
Gas this morning was still $3.73. We'll see on my way home.
Groceries are shooting through the roof. A $2.00 bell pepper, anyone? Milk, $4.50-$6.00 gallon.
Is there a peak to this developing mountain top??? IMO not a good way to start a re-election campaign, but what do I know... I once slept at a Holiday Inn Express!!!
Hahaha I am yearning for them now!
1 US gallon is = 3.79 litres
Price per gallon = 3.75$ (average)
That makes 0.989$US a litre
I live close to Montreal, Quebec and gas prices this morning are at 1.345$ per litre! (5.38$ a US gallon!!) With Canadian and American dollars close to par there isn't really any more math to be done.
If you guys think you're paying too much, think of gas prices just 50-60km north of New York state and just maybe the thought will make your day. ;)
I'd actually be in heaven (or dreaming) if gas prices dropped to 3.75$ a gallon!
Real estate developer Donald Trump blames President Obama for the rising price of oil, warning, "this country can never, ever recover" if oil prices continue to go up.
I wonder if I will be right.
June will most likely be closer to 4.75 US average IMO.
BUT, I can only speak for the Jacksonville area, of course. Other areas will probably see that price, I don't doubt it.
I hope you are correct!
They also were not joking when they both indicated to me that the national average for regular unleaded would be near, or at $5.00 a gallon by July 4!!!
That will just do wonders for the general economy, especially areas relying on tourism...

Pick your poison, sector and or time. Scary stuff.....
http://www.indexmundi.com/commodities/?commodity= commodity-price-index
If you search around you still could find unbranded unleaded for $3.59 to $3.67 a gallon...
Don't wanna think what tomorrow will bring.
Just simply amazing, interesting, and scary prognosis Oss.... Once again you have doe wonders for my ability to get a good night's sleep!!!
Is America Becoming The Land Of The Part-Time Job?: Most Of The Jobs That Are Being Created Are Part-Time Jobs And Some Companies Are Going To A “Part-Time Only Policy”
Gold, Silver And Oil Are All Skyrocketing And That Is Bad News For The U.S. Economy
Not down my way..if you dont have a job here..its cause you dont want to work..yea I said it again...and its Fact!
So is it better to eat with the government funding or work ? The pay scale is declining as we type. Where is the motivation ? Somebody has to pay your bill in the end..... Is it you, or me? Just sayin~~~~~~~~~`
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Alabama's unemployment rate held steady for the month of February, not budging from the previous month's 9.3 percent.
Alabama Department of Industrial Relations Director Tom Surtees said that while the rate remains unchanged from January's rate, it is significantly below the February 2010 rate of 10.2 percent.
"Our unemployment rate for February remained stable and did not increase, which is something we're always glad to be able to say," said Surtees. "While we did gain jobs this month, the stronger indicators of recovery continue to be found in our unemployment compensation statistics. The amount of benefit payments and number of weeks compensated continue to be below the levels of the past two years, and we also experienced a decrease in each from January."
The amount of unemployment compensation benefit payments for the month of February was $33,145,680, compared to $37,687,027 in January. The comparable numbers for February 2010 and 2009 were $44,660,745 and $51,451,741, respectively. The number of weeks compensated in February was 163,359, down from 187,980 in January. The comparable numbers for February 2010 and 2009 were 216,333 and 247,715, respectively.
Wage and salary employment increased 13,900 over the month. The majority of the increase came from gains in the leisure and hospitality sector, the professional and business services sector, and the sectors of government, construction, manufacturing, and educational and health services.
Counties with the lowest unemployment rates are: Shelby County at 7.1%, Coffee County at 7.5%, and Madison County at 7.8%. Counties with the highest unemployment rates are: Wilcox County at 21.4%, Monroe County at 16.9%, and Clarke County 16.6%.
