Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the northern Sea was mostly overcast during the day. Several stations in the northern Sea reported fractional amounts of rain during the night. The rest of the Sea had morning clouds but in general cleared by mid morning.
This morning most of the Sea will see at least some residual cloudiness from storms generated over Sonora.
These storms over Sonora that string together to make one long thunderbumper are technically called MCS’s, mesoscale convective systems. They are a complex of thunderbumpers that becomes organized on a scale larger than the individual thunderbumper but smaller than extiratropical cyclones and normally persist for several hours or more. A MCS overall cloud and rain pattern may be round or linier as was the cast last night. Within the MCS there can be squalls or what we call chubbascos even a tropical cyclone. These normally pop up during the heat of the afternoon hours.
So endith MCS 101
The MCS during the nigh extended from around Los Mochas to central Arizona and southern California.
Looking now to the southern end of the Sea where there is considerable cloudiness and it looks like more to come as I can see a nice big thumper building over Los Mochas and edging out into the Sea on a NW track.
Looking further south along the Mexican Riviera it looks like from time to time most of the coast saw some thunderbumper activity during the night.
Looking now in our Tropical Kitchen where Former Himicane Daniel has packed his bags and headed toward Hawaii this morning.
Sister Emila has a very defined eye and is a cat 2 hurricane this morning and following in the wake of Daniel and is forecast to start to weaken today.
Next we have Tropical Depression 6 echo soon to become tropical storm Fabio this afternoon. He is about 400 miles SW of Manzanillo and around 800 miles south of the cape. He is forecast to strengthen to a himicane on Sunday night as it moves on a NNW track along the west coast of the Baja peninsula. . By Tuesday Fabio will be well off the Baja coast and weaken to a tropical storm again and by Tuesday night a depression again.
It would appear right now that there is no danger to land from Fabio.
That’s what is going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where another very pleasant day is in store for Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.
Southern California has been getting a lot of moisture from the south and from La La Land south they could see some thunderbumper activity both during the day and evening hours. The forecast included the possibility of heavy rain.
Looking now over to the southwest where the satellite images showed several areas of Arizona receiving a lot of rain last night and other areas were quiet. The reporting stations at downtown Tucson and Herford did not report any rain accumulations.
Monsoon conditions will continue well into next week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the Sonoran side of the northern Sea moderate SE today. The Baja side moderate NE today and SE tomorrow and Saturday.
The central Sea should see moderate southerlies over the next 3 days.
The southern Sea will continue to see moderate SW winds over the 3-day forecast period.
And finally I checked in with several of the surfer sites to see what they are forecasting for the next week as far as any good surf. About 5-6 feet at perhaps 13 seconds along the outside of the Baja peninsula on tap for the next 4-5 days.
About the same for the cape.

73s Y’all
