Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea of Cortez has been cloud free for another 24 hours.
Looking now over to the west coast of the Baja peninsula I can see that rather dense fog is hugging most of the west coast encroaching inland in many locations. Turtle Bay and Guerro Negro look like they are socked in this morning. Webcams at the cape were showing clear skies though this morning.
Looking now south to the Mexican Riviera where for the second day in a row the coast has been clear of any clouds. That area of very heavy thunderbumper activity has shifted south and is now pretty much west of the Central America’s coast.
Looking at the Tehuantepec this image is showing numerous thumpers working over the Gulf during the night and they continue this morning. Unless you are under one of these honkers the winds in the Gulf are forecast to be moderate over the 3-day forecast period.
Taking a look now at our tropical kitchen: Sister Aletta is now just a remnant low and continues to wander around well off the mainland coast.
The other item is a rather stationary low that has been designated invest 92. It is located in that area of heavy thunderbumper activity south of Acapulco. It’s becoming a bit more organized and the National Hurricane Center is saying conditions there are favorable for gradual development and there is a 30% chance of this developing into a tropical depression over the next 48 hours.
That’s about it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where at the top of this image I can see a good size low approaching the coast and getting ready to bring rain to the Great Northwest over the next couple of days.
This system might make it across the California border but northern California is forecast to remain dry all week. Temperatures in the 60s along the coast and 80s inland.
Southern California under high pressure will see dense fog along the coast until late into the morning or early afternoon before clearing. Chilly along the coast this morning with temperatures in the 60s. This afternoon should warm up to almost 80 but later in the week a weak system will pass through dipping the temperatures to the high 60s.
Looking now over to the southwest where it is hot and will get hotter tomorrow and Wednesday. 106-107 in the Tucson area and Yuma 1008-1009. It will also be a bit windy today and that coupled with low humidity over the southwest is increasing the fire danger over the region including the Great Basin, Colorado and west Texas.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence for those of you wanting to move around today and tomorrow should see moderate northerlies, Tuesday moderate southerlies.
Today the northern Sea will see moderate NE winds and along the Sonoran coast strong NW winds
Today the central Sea will see moderate NW winds and the Sonoran coast will see brisk to strong NW winds today and tomorrow.
The southern Sea today and tomorrow light to moderate NW and the Tuesday light to moderate SW winds.
This afternoon around 6:30 the new moon will get in the way of the sun and we should see a partial Solar Eclipse. Remember don’t looks directly at the sun. Looking though a empty Pacific bottle will work though.
It should be interesting!

73s Y’all
