The weather changed abit overnight, calm, foggy, a few showers, seems this is the order of the day, with temps and humidity on the rise. Holiday weekend looking to be hot and humid, with very little air moving around.
St. John trip contributed to the local econonmy, am advised only one more trip required to insure Emily has her required residence and wardrobe nesecities in hand. Lots of room on the ferry both coming and going, a mixture of 'strangers from away' and local traffic. A pleasant surprise had WI-FI connection in the Parking Lot in Blacks while waiting for the trip home.
Rob out the door for the day, Emily still recuperating after power shopping with her grandmother. She will need more training to keep up on these trips.

Re: Emily (and in hind-sight) Sarah - shopping for university. This always brings back to me the story Jeanne told me of when she was accepted at the teaching school in Fredericton - way back when. On the night before she packed her belongings to be away until at least Christmas: One new skirt and blouse -one old skirt from her sister, with an equally old blouse - her coat, homemade hat and mitts, underwear, and her toilettries. That's it. One suitcase. SARAH: half ton truck loaded to the kills, our car loaded in the back seat and trunk, and A COUPLE of things sent with a friend???? How the times have changed. Hope you get off a little lighter :)
We have hot and humid weather hopefully to change. Am in hopes of getting on the ferry tomorrow. With any luck we will fare better than last year during Rotary Festival weekend. Waited two boats for that one.
Have a great day and hope to talk to you in person this trip.
Word. Chunks.
Shared college stories for Emily.
My freshman roommate ended up being one of the Purdue marching band majorettes, I like Jeanne packed very light with my very best. My side of the room was nicely organized when my roommate arrived with her grandmother and mom in tow. She had more stuff then I had every seen in my life. Blouses, cashmere sweaters, skirts, wool shorts and blazers etc. etc and then there was the majorette stuff. All the various shades of leg make up. Leg makeup....didn't even know there was such stuff. The ritual began. Each Sat mom and grand mom would arrive to take home the dirty clothes and bring freshly ironed new clothes. Who were these people and what planet did they live on?? Long story short she was a great, great roommate and we dated fraternity brothers. Her clothes were my clothes cause after all mom and grandmother would wash anything that was dirty and bring it back to Purdue ironed and ready for another week. Have a great time Emily. Believe me these are the days you will look back on and remember how happy you were.
