Another visitor dropped in yesterday to see the arena, also from Quebec. The MARS BAR ad brought him to Grand Manan, impressed with the facility.

Have been told some of the boats in the 'grey zone' have given it up for awhile. A combination of poor quality and even worse price not worth the effort and expense to stay at it. Traps going on the bank for a few weeks, then a decision will be made to go back or not. The PEI season starts next month, an article in the paper on the great concerns about the industry published this weekend mirror what fisherman are saying in all parts of the Atlantic Coast.
No squid reported around here, seldom is the case, however have been times when they do come close to shore.
Glad one of your girls is around the island, Emily getting prepared for an Engineering Camp mid-August, a week long effort to introduce here to the discipline and universtiy life. She appears to be looking forward to the challenge, hopefully this is the case, a change for all concerned.
