A few hours makes quite a change in the Maritime weather scene. Yesterday a typical Christmas Day had everybody returned to their abodes a fairly good snow event, complete with wind. This morning rain showers, temp hovering at freezing mark, calm, anticipate temp to drop overnight. Next week weather one day cold, next day southerly and rain - go figure.
Christmas gathering very good, a few hours of close family, a grand meal, lots of conversation, some reminiscing a good visit. A great meal, folks cleared out in good time full bellys and lots of smiles. Managed to have the house back in order in a short time, last evening very quiet around the abode.
Sand truck just went by, can imagine the roads are a bit treacherous, as temp hovers near the freezing mark.

Mornin David, assume your CURRIER & IVES scene much like ours this morning, filed somewhere in your minds eye.
Our Christmas Day similar to yours, with the exception that not many coming and going. The extended family camped here for a few hours, fed them, enjoyed one anothers company for a bit then all hands headed to thier respective nests.
Emily & Rob disappeared, Rob new laptop opened up more opportunities to communicate, as if he needed them. Emily a jig saw puzzle addict in the dark hours, head down and goes at it. I don't have the patience to even consider such a thing.
See the fellows still fishing getting bait, and taking advantage to the fact no wind at the moment, lots in the forecast by mid-week.
Now leftovers for a few days, the home baking now free range, till yesterday very limited access to insure we had some for 'company'. Now must eat it to get it out of the house.
Good Morning Rob, no lovely scene here this morning. We are humid, warm and covered with fog. Fog that makes pilots unhappy. Rain on the way for tomorrow and then a little cooler. Enjoy your Monday.
Quiet so far this morning, Emily has made it upstairs, Rob still sequestered in his man cave. He only has to venture forth for a little sustenance then retreat to dark recesses of what passes for a bedroom.
Emily watching the weather, Quispam headed this way for a couple of days, then return to "what's his name's" to usher in 2012. The weather going up and down over the next few days, one day cold next warm and rain with lots of wind, play it by ear.
Family gathering went great, good food, good company, and all left satisfied. Mom @94 and Donna's dad a mere 90 yrs. had a grand visit but quite content when the gathering started to depart.
Enjoy the down time, starts up again by mid-week.
