... Lake effect Snow Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to
6 PM CST Saturday...
The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a
lake effect Snow Advisory... which is in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM CST Saturday.
* Timing... the snow should begin late this afternoon... then
increase in intensity this evening into Saturday morning... then
taper off by Saturday afternoon.
* Snow accumulations... 3 to 5 inches of snow
* winds... east to northeast around 10 mph.
* Impacts... roads will become snow covered and slippery by this
evening. The last snow event resulted in an unusual number of
traffic accidents across the area. Slow down and be prepared
for rapidly changing conditions.
A lake effect Snow Advisory Means Lake-effect snow is forecast
that will make travel difficult in some areas. Lake-effect snow
showers typically align themselves in bands and will likely be
intense enough to drop several inches in localized areas. Use
caution when traveling.
