Areal Flood Warning
Statement as of 10:38 PM CDT en Mayo 23, 2015

The National Weather Service in Norman has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Noble County in northern Oklahoma...
Garfield County in northern Oklahoma...

* until 315 am CDT

* at 1036 PM CDT... Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms with heavy rain over the area. That rain will cause
flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Enid... Perry... Waukomis... Garber... Morrison... Lahoma... Covington...
Billings... Drummond... Red Rock... Marland... Breckenridge...
Kremlin... hunter... Fairmont... Hillsdale... Carrier... Douglas... Lake
mcmurtry... sooner lake... Bison... Lucien... Vance Air Force Base...
North Enid... Hayward and Ceres.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

flooded areas... and make plans to get to higher ground if
flooding develops or worsens in your area.
