... Frost advisory remains in effect until 9 am EDT this morning...

* temperatures... lows reaching the mid to upper 30s.

* Timing... early morning hours through 9 am.

* Impacts... patchy to widespread frost will pose a threat to
tender vegetation. Action should be taken to protect
vegetation.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A frost advisory is issued when frost is expected to develop
during the growing season. Those with agricultural interests in
the warned area are advised to harvest or protect tender
vegetation. Also... potted plants normally left outdoors should
be covered or brought inside away from the cold.

A record cold morning over northeast Ohio...

At the Akron Canton Regional Airport the low of 29 degrees at
522 am EST is a record low for may 25th... the previous record was 32
degrees set in 1925. The Cleveland Hopkins the low temperature was
33 degrees at 522 am EST breaks the record of 35 set in 1956.
Youngstown low of 30 degrees at 415 am EST ties the record which was
set in 1956.
