... Minor ashfall possible in Nelson Lagoon and Port Moller...

Satellite imagery and pilot reports indicate that Pavlof Volcano
continues to produce a steady emission of ash. Low level winds are
carrying the ash northeastward from the Volcano.

Areas northeast of Pavlof Volcano including the communities of
Nelson Lagoon and Port Moller may see a dusting of ashfall through
late this evening.

People are cautioned to avoid excessive exposure to ash... especially
those with respiratory sensitivities. Protect critical electronics
and other equipment from contamination.

... New record low temperature for may 19th...

At 1200 am akdt on may 19 a temperature of 23 degrees was recorded in
Bethel. This sets a new record low for that day. The previous record
was 26 degrees that was set in 1986.
