Synopsis For Baffin Bay To Rio Grande Out 60 Nm-
Synopsis
Winds have decreased over the Laguna Madre and small craft flags have been lowered. Small craft advisories remain over the Gulf waters of deep south Texas through this afternoon and may need to be extended into Thursday as seas remain high. North winds of 20 knots over a large portion of the northern and central Gulf of Mexico will keep seas elevated to near 7 feet for the next 24 hours and reinforcing high pressure on Thursday...with a brief increase in winds and seas...will also extend the chance for seas above 7 feet. Winds will decrease Friday...veering southeast...as high pressure shifts east and low pressure develops upstream. The next front is expected early Monday...with strong north winds and building seas after frontal passage. Gusts near gale force are possible along with thunderstorms capable of producing gusts to 40 knots during Monday.
