Area forecast discussion National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin Florida 936 PM EDT Sat may 18 2013 Update... Gulf and Atlantic sea breeze merger has sparked a broken line of showers and thunderstorms across the interior this evening. Will update forecast to reflect a narrow ribbon of 40/50 probability of precipitation where the sea breezes collided...but most locales along the coast should remain rain free. With loss of diurnal heating...the ongoing convection should end around midnight...with rain free conditions then expected through the remainder of the overnight hours. Can/T rule out some patchy fog prior to daybreak...but probabilities of occurrence and confidence in where it may develop is too low to mention in the forecast. Low temperatures are expected to bottom out in the middle 60s across the Nature Coast and in the upper 60s to lower 70s elsewhere. Update out shortly. && Aviation... narrow band of scattered thunderstorms associated with the west and East Coast sea breeze collision will persist near lal through the evening hours. Skies will become mostly clear at all terminals after midnight...with patchy late night/early morning fog with local mfvr cigs/vsbys. Scattered local broken cumulus 030-040 will develop early Sunday afternoon with scattered thunderstorms developing middle to late afternoon with local MVFR ceilings and IFR visibilities. && Preliminary point temps/pops... tpa 72 88 73 87 / 0 30 20 40 fmy 71 91 71 90 / 20 30 20 40 gif 70 91 70 88 / 40 40 20 50 srq 69 87 70 88 / 0 30 20 30 bkv 64 89 66 88 / 0 30 20 40 spg 73 88 73 87 / 0 30 20 30 && Tbw watches/warnings/advisories...
